Brian Shaw is a dynamic human resources leader with over 18 years of experience driving strategic HR operations across the government contracting, nonprofit, higher education, and healthcare sectors. Brian’s deep expertise spans the entire HR lifecycle, including talent acquisition, labor and employee relations, union negotiations, payroll, benefits, compliance, HRIS implementation, and budgeting. A skilled advisor and change agent, he has led transformative HR strategies that have increased workforce engagement, improved compliance outcomes, and embedded equity into all levels of organizational operations.
Before joining ISN, Brian held senior leadership roles at Greenpeace USA, VariQ Corporation, and American Public University System. Throughout his career, he has successfully navigated complex HR landscapes, guided organizations through labor negotiations under NLRA regulations, and implemented enterprise-wide systems and talent strategies.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Morgan State University and an MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Strayer University. He is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and brings certified expertise in payroll, labor compliance, and security protocols.
